Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Desired.FX. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of desired-fx.com (the “Site”) and any purchase, submission, or request made through it. By placing an order, submitting a DFX Royalties design, requesting a Custom Order or B2B quote, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to the terms below.
1. About Us
Desired.FX (DFX) is a specialist SFX studio operating from Jakarta, Indonesia, producing eco-conscious prosthetics, temporary tattoos, and SFX materials for productions and individual artists worldwide. Our sister company, SolaceCreations, handles on-set execution for productions that need it.
2. Product Use, Safety & Variation Disclaimer
Our products are intended for artistic, cosplay, or professional SFX use only. They are not medical-grade and are not suitable for medical or prosthetic treatment.
Temporary tattoo safety: our temporary tattoos are formulated to be skin-safe. We recommend a patch test on clean skin before full application, even if you have not previously experienced a reaction. Wait 24 hours; if redness, swelling, itching, or irritation occurs, discontinue use. Do not apply to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin, and avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Products are not intended for children; we recommend use by individuals aged 16 and above, or under adult supervision.
Longevity: temporary tattoos typically last up to 7 days, but results vary with body placement, application technique, and exposure to friction, sweat, water, oils, or skincare products.
Storage: store all products in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, moisture, or heat.
Appearance and packaging: product colours and textures may vary slightly from Site images due to lighting and screen differences. Packaging may differ from photos shown, including to reduce packaging waste.
We may update or modify products to reflect legal or regulatory changes, or to make minor technical improvements, without affecting the product’s core function.
3. Orders & Fulfillment
Orders are processed once full payment is received. Ready-stock items are typically dispatched within 1–3 working days; pre-order or custom items typically take 2–4 weeks to produce. Estimated production time is shown on each product page. Shipping time is separate from production time — please allow additional time on top of production for your package to arrive, and note that delivery time varies by destination.
4. Shipping & International Orders
We ship worldwide from Indonesia using trusted couriers. Shipping rates and tracking details are provided after your order ships. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes their country imposes. Orders returned due to unpaid customs fees will not be refunded.
5. Pricing and Currency
The price stored on the Site for each product is our standard international price. Customers ordering from Indonesia may see a separate domestic price where we have set one for that product. For all other countries, any amount shown in a currency other than Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is an approximate estimate for your convenience only, calculated using a daily exchange rate — the amount actually charged at checkout is in IDR. 6. DFX Points
Registered customers earn DFX Points on purchases and through other qualifying activities we may specify from time to time (such as referrals or product reviews). Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash, and can only be redeemed for a discount on a future order in the manner the Site provides at the time of redemption. We may change the earning rate, redemption rate, or qualifying activities at any time, and may suspend or remove points earned through fraudulent, abusive, or erroneous activity. Points do not constitute property and are not a guarantee of any specific value.
7. DFX Royalties
Artists may submit an original design (digital file or physical mould) for consideration under the DFX Royalties program. Submitting a design does not guarantee we will produce or sell it — all submissions are reviewed at our discretion.
If we approve a submission and produce and sell it, we will pay the submitting artist the percentage of each sale that we agree with them at the time of approval. Payout tracking is maintained internally and settled according to the arrangement agreed with the artist; we do not guarantee a fixed payment schedule beyond what is separately agreed.
By submitting a design, you confirm that it is your own original work, that it does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights, and you grant Desired.FX the right to produce, reproduce, market, and sell the design (and derivative physical products based on it) under the terms agreed at approval. You retain underlying intellectual property ownership of your original design; you are not transferring copyright, only granting DFX the commercial rights described here.
8. Custom Orders and B2B Quotes
The Custom Order form and B2B price-range estimator are inquiry tools, not binding orders. A price range shown by the estimator is a non-binding estimate; submitting a Custom Order or B2B inquiry begins a conversation with us, and we will follow up with an exact quote. No order is confirmed and no payment is due until we have provided a specific quote and you have accepted it.
9. Returns, Refunds & Claims
All sales are final. We do not accept returns or cancellations for change of mind, as many items are made-to-order or hygiene-sensitive. Please review product descriptions and order details carefully before purchasing.
Damaged or faulty items: if your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 3 days of receiving your order with your order number and clear photo or video evidence of the issue. Once reviewed, we may offer a replacement, refund, or partial compensation at our discretion.
Lost packages: if tracking cannot confirm delivery, notify us and we will assist in filing a claim with the courier. Once loss is confirmed, we may offer a refund or replacement.
Return shipping: we cover return postage only if we specifically request an item be returned; otherwise return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

10. User-Generated Content
If you tag us or submit content to us (such as reviews or photos), you allow us to use it for promotional purposes. If you post a comment or review on the Site, you confirm you have the legal right to post it, that it does not violate any third party’s rights, and that it is not unlawful, defamatory, or obscene. We may remove content that violates these terms, and by posting you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and adapt it across our own marketing.
11. Copyright & Intellectual Property
Except for DFX Royalties designs (see Section 7, which governs those specifically), all content on the Site — including product designs, logos, and photography — is the property of Desired.FX or its contributors. Reproduction or reuse without written permission is prohibited.
12. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for allergic reactions, misuse of products, or improper application. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers, customs processing, or outages of third-party platforms we rely on (such as WhatsApp or Instagram). To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties and representations related to the Site and its use, except where liability cannot legally be excluded (including for death, personal injury, fraud, or misrepresentation).
13. Cookies
The Site uses cookies to remember your country selection, keep you signed in, and support DFX Points and shopping cart functionality. Required cookies, essential to the Site’s operation, do not require separate consent. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings; declining optional cookies may limit some features.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms at any time, for example as we add new features to the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
