Desired.FX (DFX) was founded by Dea Desideria — Dee, to the team — with a simple goal: make special effects makeup better for the artists who use it and the planet it’s made on. What began as a way to keep make-up artists working through the pandemic grew into a studio built around eco-conscious materials, fair support for small artists, and effects good enough for professional productions.

Sustainable makeup isn’t a trend for us — it’s the standard we hold every product to. Our prosthetics, tattoos, and materials are crafted to minimize environmental impact without cutting corners on performance, and we’re always testing greener alternatives as they become available. Supporting small artists with a passive income is built into how DFX works, not an afterthought.

Desired.FX works with productions and individual artists on projects ranging from full character prosthetics to the fake blood and materials that make it all look real. Every piece starts with precise measurement and a mindful choice of materials.

On set, our sister company SolaceCreations handles execution — so international productions can get fabrication and on-set application through a single point of contact.
